Grant Thornton Australia is a member firm of the Grant Thornton global network – one of the world's leading independently-owned and managed accounting, advisory and consulting firms.
In Australia, we’re proud to support the careers of over 1,500 remarkable people. With six offices nationally and partner firms in more than 145 markets, wherever you want to go, we can take you there.
Our Sustainability Centre of Excellence team works proactively with our business and our clients in the interpretation, application and strategic impact of local and international sustainability reporting standards and regulatory requirements, including the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (AASB S1 & S2) and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.
The team supports client-facing teams from multiple parts of the business, helping to work through complex sustainability reporting issues, developing and providing training to clients and teams, developing publications for internal and external use, and assisting teams in reviewing sustainability reports and client deliverables for technical compliance. Team members also work directly with clients to support their understanding of the complexities of the sustainability issues.
With the recent passage of mandatory climate-related financial disclosures legislation in Australia, the team has a strong focus on upskilling internal teams across all specialisations in sustainability-related matters and providing education services to clients to support their preparation to report.
