About the role

Grant Thornton has a nationally integrated tax practice. Based in Perth we are looking for a Senior Accountant – Corporate Tax who will be responsible for working with clients from both our local and Eastern States teams. This opportunity will allow you to join a national team who are committed to the highest standards of technical expertise and will enable you to gain a wide range of advisory exposure including:

  • Preparation of company tax returns, including consolidated company tax returns for a wide range of corporate clients
  • Preparation of tax-effect accounting calculations
  • Assisting with tax due diligence, structuring advice and advisory work
  • Research and assisting with tax consulting advice (such as tax consolidation, tax treaties, international tax, withholding taxes)

Skills and experience

This is a fantastic opportunity to continue your career in Corporate Tax. You’ll be agile, responsive and bring innovative ideas to the table. Your passion for understanding your clients’ businesses will see you go beyond addressing technical issues to developing actionable growth recommendations. This role will suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • A Business, Commerce or Law Degree
  • 1 - 4 years corporate tax exposure in a commercial or professional services environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in their clients
  • A self-starter keen to develop an understanding of client needs and “figure out the why “
  • Interest in a career of lifelong learning with a focus on developing your knowledge and skills in corporate tax advisory
  • The ability to understand accounting concepts
  • An understanding of the broader business environment
