Grant Thornton Risk Consulting division has experienced significant growth and we are looking for a motivated Melbourne based Internal Audit Senior Manager who will share our passion for client service and value a positive work culture.

About this role

Our Risk Consulting practice is a growing national business responsible for delivering independent risk services to our clients.

Our team works across industries with particular focuses in financial services, technology, public sector and for purpose organisations. The team’s overarching purpose is to help our clients to navigate complex risks and change management issues in a dynamic business environment. 

Key responsibilities

We are looking for a Sydney-based Associate who shares our passion for client service and values a positive work culture. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • delivering end-to-end internal audit and business risk client engagements with oversight and guidance from a manager
  • Understanding clients’ risk environments and utilising internal audit knowledge to deliver engagement outcomes
  • Identifying and reporting on client risks in relation to their internal systems and processes to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Contributing to commercial problem solving through analysis, critical thinking and logical reasoning
  • Working with managers to draft high quality internal audit reports and engagement deliverables
  • Assisting Managers with co-ordination of engagements, including preparation of scoping documents and setting meetings with stakeholders 

 Skills & experience

  • Ideally, minimum 1 years’ business risk, business process review or internal audit experience. 
  • Bachelor Degree (preferably Business/Management/Accounting major)
  • Preferably eligible for CAANZ (or already commenced CAANZ study)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Sound understanding on control documentation and assessment
  • A client-centric attitude
