About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is looking for a Team Assistant to join our Private Business Tax & Advisory (Business Services) team in our Brisbane office. 

Supporting a team of Accountants and Managers, key areas of support you will provide to the team include:

  • Managing team correspondence in our database including facilitating incoming and outgoing mail
  • Attending to ATO lodgements through MYOB AE, monitoring client deadlines and distributing ATO correspondence
  • Assisting with client take on and internal processes eg engagement letters, conflict checks
  • Corporate Compliance including document preparation, maintaining company registers
  • Assisting with presentation of client communications
  • Internal Data Management through iManage and Salesforce
  • Managing system subscriptions in MYOB, Xero and Banklink 
  • Processing team expense claims and managing staff registers
  • Assisting with internal event management as required
  • General administrative assistance to the team (phone messages, meeting bookings, diary management etc).

Skills and experience

You’ll be agile, responsive and enjoy the challenge of supporting a busy team. This position will suit someone with experience in a professional services environment and able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Solid Microsoft Suite skills
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, iManage, Concur and MYOB AE would be an advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Sound organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Initiative and pride in your work, particularly sound spelling and grammar
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn, seek innovation and share your skills.
