About this role
Our National Risk Consulting team delivers a range of services to support our clients to manage their business risks; from processes and controls to technology challenges. Our data analytics team within Risk Consulting is responsible for deploying data analytics techniques in a targeted way to support the identification and quantification of risk. Our work involves using structured and unstructured data sources to develop data models that perform complex calculations, and provide insights into key risk factors faced by our clients in their business operations, particularly in the areas of payroll risk and recalculations, anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing, and fraud analytics.
Your responsibilities will be focused on producing the engagement outcomes for clients with involvement across a broad range of activities including:
Key responsibilities
- Transform payroll data and prepare payroll recalculations, including root cause analysis and quality review of results
- Support the creation of assurance tools and applications
- Work with clients on data requirements, data transformation and the interpretation of payroll recalculation outcomes
- Support the development of bespoke tools and dashboarding based on client requirements.
Skills & experience
- Proven track record, working in a professional service firm or large corporate environment, with a focus on data transformation, manipulation and cleansing varied types and sources of data, recalculation workflows, development of dashboards and testing methodologies
- Strong client focus with the ability to work on multiple engagements, whilst providing reliable advice, guidance and insights that are easily understood
- Requires moderate to high previous experience working in Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL and DataBricks
- University degree (preferred Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or Maths)
